Long and wide walnut boards combine with a minimalist approach to enhance the extensive and bright feeling of the space. The two rich floor finishes selected add a softer touch to the simple interior.

Snow-inspired textures and glimmering finishes have been used to stay close to the magical mountain surroundings of Courchevel.Bespoke materials including textured stones, coloured ceramics and random widths of wood combined with a sophisticated colour palette create the perfect mix of comfort and luxury. For a more natural look, we have used a mixed width floor of wide planks and narrow planks. The Faded Silvergrey Natural Oil finish on an Engineered American White Oak Select Grade wooden floor blends softly with the breath-taking views of a snowy Courchevel.

 The Conservatorium hotel is set within a former music conservatory, a century-old building, designed by the Dutch architect Daniel Knuttel. This luxury hotel is located in the historic museum district of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.The Milan-based Lissoni Associati creatively designed 129 guest rooms within the original state and giving each room a unique layout. Working within strict regulations on the listed building, a 20-meter high glass atrium was built on the former patio. Complimentary to the guest rooms the hotel includes a well-being spa, various shop-in-shops and restaurants and bars with diverse international atmospheres.For this project, we proudly crafted a custom made Solid Antique American Ash Chevron floor to add a vintage touch to the elegant yet casual luxury Tunes Bar with its chic décor and shimmering ambience. This floor is a very durable interior features which get prettier over time. The Tunes bar is one of the bars in Amsterdam where you can enjoy first-class cocktails inspired by countries from all over the world. Their menu encloses the beauty and uniqueness of the different continents around the world through creative and exotic cocktails and food pairings. Each guest room has its own unique character; the rooms embody unique Dutch styling elements with thoughtful features. The Solid American Red Oak Marron with a Brushed Faded Extramatt Poly finish fits perfectly to the rooms thanks to its contemporary elegance. However, the randomly mixed width planks add a traditional touch to the overall design.

 Hotel After the opening in 2015, the Dylan quickly became Dublin’s trendiest spot for both weekend visitors and locals. The rooftop bar could just as well be in Brooklyn, and sets the trend. Not surprisingly we were asked, we had to bring original beam-skin cuts to produce an authentic all-American floor that only get prettier over time. For the bedrooms we created a distressed Chevron, reminiscent of old refinished flooring, but at an affordable budget.

 A private residence in the district of Notting Hill, London, Hidden House definitely highlights our company’s forte of delivering spectacular-sized wide planks.Responding to the client’s needs and desires, we suggested two types of Oak floor patterns: A 20cm width Continental Oak Select Grade was laid into an oversized Chevron pattern, that just like a Herringbone allows for the geometrical zig-zag pattern — albeit in this case the planks are cut on an angle so the ‘zig’ meets the ‘zag’ along a perfectly straight axis. For the reception area, we supplied fixed width 40cm Oak boards, with a prefinished appearance in Faded Silvergrey Ultramatt Poly.

 This Grade II listed 1860s residence in the Little Venice Conservation has undergone a restoration by Originate Architects revealed both the building’s history and its 21st Century use.  In the main reception, mid-century furniture pieces by Jorge Zalszupin and Pierre Jeanneret sit amongst art by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Alexander Calder and Celso Renato. The lower ground floor has a more minimalist look. To add warmth, we proposed a mix of reclaimed Antique Oak and American White Oak Country Vintage for the flooring, which reveals an abundant presence of worm-, beetle- and nail holes, but also knots, cracks and beautiful ageing patina. Both wooden floors are finished with a bespoke stain and Ultramatt Poly finish to keep the wood as matt and as natural as possible. The floors are semi prefinished in our workshop with final top coats applied on site. The random Wwdths of the bedroom floor enhance the natural look and handcrafted feel of the floor.

In all fairness, the exuberant [Tour Odéon](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odeon_Tower) wins the respect of its direct neighbour, the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Yet she’s modest enough to reflect the ocean’s characteristic waves in a stunning, complex pattern executed in Wengé Metallized Bronze with surrounding Metallized Bronze coated Oak borders, a bespoke parquet by our team.

 Private Residence The refurbishment taken on by CDD, converted this 18th Century old-town apartment into a master piece taking respect of many old styling elements and the most noble choice of materials available.

 All cupboards in the apartment will built in a close collaboration between interior builder Juillerat from Sion, the metal-magicians Art Kern from Geneva, and the Ebony and Co team signed for the finished wood surfaces.

 All planks were milled in 10mm thin engineered boards of selected Rift & Quartered Continental Ash, finished by hand in a Nickel Silver Coated finish covered with a thin acrylic lacquer.

After installation the American Ash floors were smoothly sanded and slightly bleached, to protect from yellowing. To keep a bright natural look, we finished them with our Faded Ultramatt Poly.  
  
The stairs are made and installed by our team in the same wood and finish, with stunning mirror steel covering on the lower part of each step.

 Private Residence In a quaint village in countryside of Geneva, this traditional Swiss house was converted into an oasis of wealth and subtle materials.

 By special appointment, our team crafted and installed a bespoke selection of Walnut Clear Grade wide plank flooring in random widths finished in a Dusty Bronze Hardwax effect developed for this project. Driven by the passion for genuine wood, The interior architect office CDD Genève - Martine Tomé selected a fine selection of Walnut Clear Grade for wall cladding, furniture and kitchen cabinetry. This selection shows the variety one may expect from solid wood, a good few steps away from the predictable veneer-look that is so commonly used.

 All wood work was custom built by the craftsmen of Juillerat from Sion, and was finished in Ebony and Co’s Pure Ultramatt Poly finish. Teamwork with local craftsmen on a level we love working on every day! Keeping the best for the last, Ebony and Co delivered two large flawless 550cm long Solid Walnut pieces for an incredible kitchen table.

# Bernardus Golf Club - Nobel Kitchen, Cromvoirt

 Almost everything exudes luxury and quality at Bernardus, a private golf club in Cromvoirt. The breathtaking beauty of the club and its surroundings make it one of the best of its kind in the Netherlands. ‘Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere,’ is the philosophy of the Nobel Kitchen restaurant, conceived by Michelin-starred chef Edwin Kats.   
  
All the floors of the restaurant, bar and lobby of the club are by Ebony and Co. The designer chose our Megève Lava Hardwax finish for this project. We made a bespoke pattern for the restaurant and fixed-width boards for the lobby and bar. The Megève finish is refined and durable, making it ideally suited to areas where extra traffic is expected.

 The Bernardus Lodge is part of the private golf club in Cromvoirt. The lodge has eight spacious and modern double rooms with private bathrooms. For this project, we used our Continental Oak Faded Silvergrey Natural Oil, giving the bedrooms an intimate and relaxed atmosphere.   
The oak is pre-finished by hand to give it a pure, blended beige-grey patina. The oak is bleached and oiled to protect this soft grey look from yellowing over a longer time frame.

Long and wide walnut boards combine with a minimalist approach to enhance the extensive and bright feeling of the space. The two rich floor finishes selected add a softer touch to the simple interior.

 For the hallway, the designers opted for a custom-patterned floor in Dark American Walnut Megève Bronze Hardwax with bronze inlays. In the main space, the floor is an extension of the hall, apart from the pattern. The custom-made pattern used in the main space is reminiscent of a carpet.

 Being deeply smoked, the floor has a beautiful greyish brown appearance that works wonders with both the black accents consistently applied in all the spaces, as well as the silvery green of the olive trees that embrace the house outside.

 The Maple was thermo-treated to become more stable and deep dark-brown coloured inside the wood, The boards were smoothly sanded and finished with Piano Black Stain & Hardwax in several layers to achieve a silky deep black floor.

 Dating back to the17th-century, Mas de Chabran is a true example of contemporary Provençal paradise.

 Dating back to the17th-century, Mas de Chabran is a true example of contemporary Provençal paradise.

 The first owners were farmers; the architects encountered more than 300 olive trees and two millstones right in front of the house. The aim of K-Architectes was to restore the house while respecting its past and its explicit connection with nature.

One part of the building is dedicated to upscale tourism.

 Materials were deliberately picked for their storytelling power, adding layers of history to the high-ceilinged spaces. Marble, terracotta tiles, exposed beams and Ebony and Co’s Continental Oak Megève Lava Hardwax wide plank flooring all add character to the different interiors. Fabrics chosen for the upholstery hint at the relationship of this part of France with India.

Together with the client, he selected timeless materials such as solid wood, bronze, leather and marble, and combined them with refined furniture, bespoke textiles and works of art.

 The Chevron boards flow through the rooms, free of borders, which unifies the whole interior. Matching wooden radiator covers and integrated wooden outlets complete the sophisticated interior.

 In contrary to what one would associate with a myriad of contrasting elements, the entire home oozes a holistic, balanced atmosphere. ‘That's in part thanks to the light-coloured wooden floor which unites the various spaces,’ says Van Vliet. ‘The floor also enhances the perception of certain interior details such as the marble tiles in the bathroom.’

 Van Vliet chose Ash for its clear and pure appearance but without looking too clean thanks to its vivid grain structure. The lightness of the Ash appealed to him since it makes the house look brighter and more spacious. Ash is very hard-wearing hardwood and due to its Hardwax finish, the floor can be easily kept up with Ebony and Co Whitwash Oil Soap and Maintenance Oil to get better protected over time.

 Soothing, stunning and spectacular, Donna Karan’s spa house is everything you’d want a summer home to be. Take a comfortable seat, close your eyes, and imagine yourself sitting on those extremely wide reclaimed Antique American Oak planks overlooking the Long Island seashore.

 #### Extension for bliss

 The spa is an extension of the fashion designer’s existing compound that includes three other homes. The spa is her private silent resort, a Zen space fully devoted to yoga and meditation, with a massage table and steam room helping to maintain a state of pure bliss. 
#### Furniture and decoration

 The nearly all-white space is decorated with art of her late husband, sculptor and painter Stephen Weiss. As well asartisan pieces made in Haiti for Karan’s luxury lifestyle line Urban Zen and statement furniture created by Jérôme Abel Seguin, a French artist from Bordeaux that has worked on set design for a.o. Hermès and Louis Vuitton. 
#### The architects

 New-York based architects Enrico Bonetti and Dominic Kozerski of Bonetti/Kozerski/Architecture were invited to design the house. They had previously worked with Donna Karan on her flagship store in Manhattan, NYC. Evereything is designed to connect to the magnificent outdoors. Floor-to-ceiling windows and screen doors create an unimpeded panorama of the bay. Large sliding windows open to the decks, gardens and sea. 
#### Bespoke wide plank flooring

 The designers picked Ebony and Co’s reclaimed Antique American Oak planks in spectacular sizes, with a width up to 40 cm. The chosen timber has a strong character and unique aesthetics: worm-, beetle- and nail holes, cracks and beautiful ageing patina.

 Bog Oak trees have been buried under saturated wet soil deposits for thousands of years. Transformed into shades of dark greenish and greyish-brown up to deep black, the wood can be beautifully dense and refined in grain.

 In an interview with Rolan Cornelissen, he explained the vision behind the Saints and Stars project. “We aimed to create a fitness space that goes beyond the conventional gym experience,” Cornelissen said. “The use of the Continental Oak Fusion Select flooring in Megève Lava Hardwax was integral to achieving a balance of luxury and practicality. It’s not just about functionality but also about creating an environment where people feel inspired and energized.”

 In this Chalet project, designer Martine Tomé used our purest selection of American White Oak, in long and wide boards for all wide plank floors and wide plank ceilings. For wooden walls and wooden stairs, we custom-crafted the same selection of solid American White Oak. All surfaces were finished with our Ultramatt Poly finish to keep the wood as matt and as natural as possible.

The beams were reworked, the height adjusted, and a new living room was created, making it the heart of the home.

 The planks, varying in width from 18-35 cm and in length from 150-350 cm, provided a striking yet elegant backdrop that influenced the entire color palette of the home.

The red artwork is her own creation. Furniture by emerging designers complements the space. An abundance of natural light creates a lively play of shadows that changes throughout the day.

The understated design, muted colour scheme and natural colour variations of the wide planks create a home full of warmth and harmony.

 The round-edged, contrasting floor marks the kitchen area and reinforces the fact that we are (in) nature.

This grade offers a mix of planks with beautiful heart cracks and planks with a more varied ‘cathedral’ or ‘crown’ grain from close to the core of the tree. The open ‘defects’ are filled by hand.

 Our American Walnut, or Juglans Nigra, comes from trees over 80 years old that grow in responsibly managed forests in the northern Midwest states of the USA. We pride ourselves on finding the finest selection of planks and patterns in the industry.
